Pets: We Don’t Need Dress!

Just on the Halloween, Last Saturday, Paris Hilton brought her tiny Chihuahua and Pomeranian dogs to the Chateau Marmont Hotel to enjoy lunch with her sister, Nicky Hilton. This Halloween seems to be a little different to her and her dogs because she got her dogs dressed up. Poor Chihuahua was in a duck costume, while the Pomeranian was dressed in the Coyote style. The whole picture drew a great deal of attention once it explored under the camera, and brought a highlight of the Halloween costume this year. However, it looks a little bit ridiculous and could be considered as animal mistreating.

For many people, maybe it is harmless and funny to get pets dressed up. But, there are still some people hold disagree opinions, like me. In my opinion, get pets dressed up in order to make fun is as harm as beating them.

Pet is not only an animal who can bring you joy and happy, but a friend shares loneliness with you when you are alone. Nowadays, more and more people are taking part in animal protecting activities. However, protecting animals is not just a slogan, but should be proved in actions. And Get pets dressed up and make fun of them is not protection, but just a kind of ostentatiously performance. Let’s think conversely. If you are forced to dress in some funny clothes, will you feel happy? The answer is negative, of course.

Pets dress is also a kind of money wasting. Generally, a Halloween costume for an adult costs 40-70 dollars. The costs of A Halloween dress for pets can reach more than 20 dollars. If I were Hilton, I’d rather denote the money to some animal care association like WPAA than just by a pet dress which is completely useless and unnecessary. And maybe it can help Hilton win popularity.

Once you get pets dressed up, you have to wash the dresses, which is also an additional burden for you, right? Pets, unlike human beings, may not pay much attention to their behaviors. It will be much easier for them to make their dress dirty. Thus, it will waste lots of time on their dress changing and cleaning.

Fancy dress party is a tradition of Halloween. You should dress as fantastic as you can to attend this party. Are you ready to rock this crazy night? Make sure you have the most fantastic dress for the party. But, for pets, I think they will feel happy if you just treat them as dogs and cats instead of some mystic Halloween emissary.
